We had a fun evening on Wednesday.
The family, plus Natan, decided that we
wanted to try the new brewery in our neck of the woods.
Cool Beerwerks just opened (a few weeks ago?).
It's pretty exciting around here when something new happens.
So we all hopped in the car and headed over to get our beer on.
First impressions, the place looks pretty amazing.
I loved the décor, maybe because it's not like anything in our town.
The place was busy.
It took a little while to be served,
but after about 10 mins the owner/waitress got our drink orders.
This is the stage area to the left, and the microbrewery equipment
is in the room with the cool green lights.
The thing I fell most in love with...the floor.
It was concrete that was stained silverish/black and sealed.
Ah-May-Zing!
We ended up waiting about an hour for dinner.
Some people might have been upset,
but I took in to consideration that they just opened,
and their focus is not the food menu, but rather the beer.
I think if I gave it a couple more months,
they would have the waitressing down.
We were impressed by their food and drink.
We had Caesar salad, Poor Boy sandwich, Pastrami sandwich,
Coconut shrimp, Fried mac and cheese with Gouda
and one with Pepper Jack, 4 beers, 2 sodas, a glass of water
AND
We split this monster between the five of us.
It was a fun evening,
and a little different from what we would usually do.
(Seems weird to be drinking alcohol with the kids -
they're both over 21).
So have you done anything out of the norm lately?
