D to the ANG It (Dang It!)

Maybe I'll have to take up bodybuilding, just looks at that physique!

I've been doing pretty super working out on the treadmill, if I do say so myself. I think I may (or may not) have motivated Todd to start using it. So use it, he did. He did a 30 minute work out with different speeds and inclines. He finished the work out and went to take a shower. I hopped on the treadmill after him, was on it for about 2 minutes and boom...it froze. Todd has ordered parts for it, but my treadmill workout has been put on hold until the parts arrive.

I guess for now I'll have to start working out beyond the confines of my own living room...eeks.

Thing I'm thankful for today:
Baggy sweats
A warm house
A little puppy curled up on my leg

Just Some Pics from Around Our House

I got bored a couple months ago and started snapping pictures. I just found them again when I downloaded a bunch of pictures off of my camera. Wanna take a look?

Here you go

Thing I'm thankful for today:
Time to enjoy a hobby.

To All You Nay Sayers

At the beginning of the month I was given a treadmill. It belonged to Dennis, but from what I understand he was using it to hang clothes from (I don't think this is unusual, as I have heard many people use their treadmills for this).

A little birdie told me that there is a wager going on about how much use I will get out of the treadmill. Well....I've been on it all but two days since it was dropped off at the house. Don't worry Aunt Vicki - I won't let you down.

Booyah baby! How about them apples :)

I'm looking pretty good for only working out for 2 weeks - hehehe.

Things I'm thankful for:

A three day weekend.
The treadmill to help me get healthy.

I Told You So

I came home the other day to find a nice big tree lying in our driveway. It had been storming pretty hard, and the tree looked sketchy to begin with, diseased maybe. I had been after Todd for weeks to cut it down before it fell. To late!

When I drove up the driveway, I was welcomed by Todd saying to me, "Darn, you're home already." I love you too honey! He knew that he was going to get a big dose of I told you so and wanted to make the tree disappear before I got home.

I laughed when I saw what Todd used to clear the tree mess up with. It looked like a little toy chainsaw. It looked like it was one of his nephews. It did do the job.

What I saw when I got home.

Todd's little helpers.

Todd's toy chainsaw.

All clear.

What I'm thankful for:
An awesome start to the new year.
No trees in the road :)

Party Like ...

you are going to have to work the next day, that's what Todd and I did for the New Year. Like the party animals we are, we ate some yummy taco salad, watched two episodes of Fringe, and then made a mad dash to our EB (electric blanket). Once there, we promptly fell asleep. Something about our 40's has sure made us in to, well, old people.

The kids did their own thing, Austin worked and played games after work, Alexxa went to Cory's house and celebrated with his family. We don't have cable, so there really was no point in staying up late, it would just make us tired and grumpy the next day.

Although our New Year was pretty low key, the two prior two days we had fun. On Wednesday we all went to the snow and played around, and on Thursday Todd, Lexx, Cory and I went bowling. I pretty much stunk and scored the lowest out of the two games I played. The other three took turns getting strikes and spares while I was lucky not to gutter ball it. As stinky as I am, I had tons of fun.

I hope that everyone had a safe and Happy New Year. Here's to a great MMXI.

Austin tried pulling Lexx on the sled. That lasted about 10 seconds.

Todd then tried to pull Austin and Lexx. That lasted about 20 seconds.

Then Mr. Jeep got in on the action. We played for the rest of the PM.

The place where we played in the snow.

Todd, Austin and Alexxa hamming it up.

Austin and Alexxa being pulled by the Todd (and the Jeep).

Things I'm thankful for today:
The ability to party like a rockstar (hehehehe).
Getting to go to the snow with the fam.
Feeling like I'm a kid again because I'm playing in the snow.
