Ooops!

I fell asleep last night at 6:30 PM
and forgot to post.

It's been a very exhausting work week.

I'll have to make up for it today.

The Olympics

With everything Olympics, it's hard not to find some things that are amusing.

Go to this link and enter your height (in meters) and weight (in kilograms).

If you are like me and don't know the conversion,
just type "how many meters in (how tall you are) feet in to the Google search engine.

Then, do the same thing for weight.

Apparently I am cut out to be a male hammer thrower.
Really?

Also, if you haven't watched the video of Aly Raimsman's parent watching her compete,
you must...I rate it a must see.

There are also other Olympians parent videos, some hillarious others touching.

Enjoy!

Hopefully nobody ever caught me on video like that.

It's The Weekend

Have a lovely weekend.

I know what I'll be doing...
can we say H-O-U-S-E-W-O-R-K!
(I wish I were vacationing somewhere in the picture above).

Do you have any exciting plans?

Gardening From Scraps

Did you know that you can start a "grocery store garden" using
leftover pieces of the fruits and vegetables that you buy from the store?

I'm pretty much known for my "black thumb", or best case scenario, "brown thumb",
but the directions on how to grow these things actually sound pretty basic...
Brenda proof if you will.

I've attached some pictures and the link to instructions to each specific fruit/veggie.

I have only attached about 5 things that you can do,
but there are many different things that you can start from scraps.

Just do a look up online or using Pinterest...you'll be amazed.

Most importantly -
if you do try this send me pictures and let me know AND have fun doing it!

Not bad, right?

Plus, it doesn't cost a thing to start, and it ends up saving you money in the long run because you don't have to pay for these supplies when you go grocery shopping.

Win/win situation.

It's Official

My house looks like a war zone.

Being sick for 3 days, working full time,
and coming back from vacation are not a good combination.

There are dishes in the sink, clothes on the floor, papers scattered everywhere..
I can't take it anymore!
Looks like I'll have to carve out a little time this weekend to take care of business.

Please tell me I'm not the only one.

You have a messy house sometimes, right?

(note:  I would have taken pictures for you, but my baby is still in the camera hospital-boo)

Because We Don't Have Enough Unfinished Projects

I'm trying to talk Todd into making one of these.

It's an entryway closet turned in to a storage/sitting space.

I think it's super smart and practical to take the unused space and make it useable -Duh!

Plus, I would love to get everyone's shoes that they kick off at our front door all corralled somewhere.

Wouldn't this be perfect?
