From a Low Angle - Day 6.

I cheated. I used an old picture that I liked. When this picture was taken it was a beautiful day near Fort Bragg in a little place called Fern Canyon. I just love the outdoors, with a little caviat - it can't be too warm or too cold or too dirty. Okay, so maybe I'm not a real outdoorsy girl, but whatev.
The real picture I wanted to use, when Lexxa email it to me turned out to be about stamp size. I'm not quite sure what happened but it shrunkified it (compressed, I believe is the technical term) so that it would email a little faster. When I get home I will post a picture of the original one.

A Really Long Day And Baby Rattlers

As you can probably tell from my last post, I made it to my sister's house. We stopped at beautiful downtown Bakersfield to spend the night. Todd and I woke up by 7 AM and were on the road by 8. I did have a couple little things I wanted to share about my first day. First, we were greeted by out little (or in this case BIG) black rain cloud. It seems to follow Todd and I around Whenever we go on vacation, so we are totally used to it.
Yep, that's snow in the mountains. The bad weather didn't bug us mutch. We drove and drove and drove and drove for what seemed like an eternity then finally decided to get some lunch at 1:30. We stopped at a place called the Wagon Wheel in Needles. They had a pretty cool little display going on, see for yourself
Too funny! When we drove through Lake Havasu we got to see a couple of interesting things. First up was the London Bridge
The year is supposed to say 1831-1971, not 183-1971. Next, was a Ferrari (be sure to read his license plate).
I want one of my own. My plate would read FerrarSHE. We finally rolled in to Phoenix at 5:45 PM. It was a LONG drive. However, when we pulled up, we were greeted by this.
Isn't she just so cute. We had to immediately go and change our clothes because, if you remember, I had a surprise lined up for Todd, and we had to be to the "surprise" by 7 PM. I made it all the way until the front doors of the stadium, and we ended up watching this live
It was sooooo cool. Todd and I had never been to a hockey game before, much less a NHL game. The Coyotes ended up winning 2 to 4, so that made the game even more exciting. We have quite a bit line up for the next couple of days. I can't wait to share my pictures, and I'm crossing my fingers that the weather holds out, you know with our little black rain cloud and all. Psst-I really hate Blogger sometimes. I format so it looks pretty when I'm writing my post, but when I go to publish it, it does funky stuff. I apologize if my posts are difficult to read. It really isn't my fault, really!

From A High Angle

Because I was traveling across the desert, I knew I wouldn't have the opportunity to take a picture from a high angle. So, I made the best of what I had and took a picture from the second story of my hotel. I know it's not gorgeous, but I didn't have many options.
I did, however, have a chance to get a pretty cool cloud shot. Here is my redo because I really disliked the last one I took.
Much better don't you think? It looks like I will have internet for at least the next couple of days so I can at least do the next 2 or 3 photos. So be sure to come back and visit. By the way, did you stop by Amy's blog and check out the other photos? They are pretty awesome. Her blog address is amybretbrieadam.blogspot.com . Be sure and check out how she made Lexxa's eyes a really cool green with photoshop. Pretty awesome!

Something Green - Day 4

I have to confess, I didn't take this picture today, I took it in the middle of October. I don't know if you can tell but Alexxa's eyes are green (with specks of brown - otherwise known as hazel).
What a pretty girl :) So what would you photograph for something green? There is always money.

Clouds - Day 3

I have to say, I'm kind of disappointed in my clouds picture. I got up early this morning because I knew I was going to have a hectic day and I wanted to get some pictures taken...WRONG, no clouds and it was pretty dark. So I wen't to work early thinking, well maybe I can get a picture on my way home...WRONG, well, sort of wrong. I did get a picture, but not a good one because there was a freakin storm. Sure there were clouds but do you think my camera liked the lighting? I really wanted some contrasting white clouds against the blue sky, but that didn't happen. I played around with the color a little, didn't help. So here's the bummer picture
Note: I pulled over on the side of the road, rolled down my window and snapped a quicky shot. Boo! So I wanted to let you guys know that I am heading out of state to visit my sister out-of-state, and I am leaving tomorrow after work. I will be gone a week, but I am going to try and keep uploading pictures for the blog. I am not sure about her internet, or if I will have access, but rest assure if I have internet, I will upload. If it ends up that I don't have access, I will be home on the 13th and will update at that time. Be sure to check in every couple days. Can't wait to see what everyone comes up with while I'm gone :)

What I Wore

So the second picture from the challenge was supposed to be what I wore. I didn't want to do clothes, so I figured out something a little different. Lord knows I don't leave home without this...
So what did you wear today?

Oh Crapparooni

So the sister-in-law just called me to let me know that we have about four or five people doing this photo challenge thingy, so I guess there is no backing down or out now. I figure I'll post the self portrait and any others that I can get done this week. I wanted a portrait that represented me, not just a picture. I can't say it was easy, and it isn't the best picture, in fact it is a little out of focus, but I think it captures me. See what you think...
HAIR! So what do you think? Just to fyi you, I won't be able to blog next week...I'll fill you in on the details the following week.
